Chateau Berthenon, an 18th century Charteuse, was aquired by the Planteur Family in 1954. Today’s 3rd generation of female Planteur winemakers have expanded Chateau Berthenon to 37-hectares (91 acres), while creating highly acclaimed, award-winning wines. In 1996, Chateau Berthenon was passed to its current owner Therese Ponz Szymanski and her husband, Thierry. Together these two winemakers skillfully select each varietal, blending for harmony and excellence.
